KPKP Estimates Subsidized Food Demand Increased by 25 Percent

Jakarta Maritime Agriculture and Food Security (KPKP) Department predicted food demand ahead of Christmas and New Year increases up to 25 percent.

Jakarta KPKP Department Head, Darjamuni stated, his side estimated the highest demand is for rice, egg, and meat.

"We have coordinated with Regional-Owned Enterprises (BUMD) in food sector related to this estimation," he conveyed, Monday (12/16).

TPID: Food Supply until December is Safe

According to him, subsidized foods recipients can buy subsidized foods in specified places such as RPTRA, Gerai, Jak Mart, Jak Grosir, Public Housing (Rusun), and Retail Agro Pasar.

"They can purchase it based on their needs," he added.

His side hopes, residents can be more vocal if they received food not in good condition, such as due to damaged packaging, food without label, lice in rice, too much fat in meat, or cracked eggs.

"They can complain to us via call center 021-6007244 or 021-6007252 ext. 14216," he informed.

Meanwhile, rice allowance for Jakarta Government Apparatuses (ASN) for this monh can be bought at least until December 31.

"PT. Food Station Tjipinang Jaya ensures safe rice stock for Jakarta ASN," he mentioned.
